How to survive the affiliate market jungle
Affiliate marketing is an incredibly versatile asset if you know how to work it. You just need to make sure you have got a hold of the right tips, to ensure that you can turn affiliate marketing into the asset you want it to be.
And the thing is making that happen is easier than you think. By incorporating the following tips into your affiliate marketing strategy, you too can survive the affiliate jungle and ensure that you are always at the top of your game.
So here is a quick run down of our top 3 affiliate marketing survival tips. Use them wisely.
TIP ONE: Unique Web Pages
When you are promoting multiple products it best to keep them separate.
Now we know have tempting it can be to try to promote more than one product per web page – especially when the products belong to the same product niche – but doing this will do you no favours.
On the one hand, yes it will save you money on web hosting, but by focusing on more than one product per web page, you in turn will be detracting your surfers from what you want them to do – to click through and buy, buy, buy.
Instead, with so many products all on one web page each calling to them to invest, they’ll be even more uncertain on which to choose. And the outcome? They will keep on looking… elsewhere.
So what are you to do? Simple.
You need to keep them focused. You need to guide them in the direction of one product. That a way, they will be more inclined to choose your product - above all the other affiliate products out there - and will do your desired action. Invest.
TIP TWO: Free Reports
Alongside your reviews and articles, another sure way to incentivise your surfers and keep them coming back to your website over and over again is to offer them free reports.
Now these don’t have to be anything complicated, so if you are not on the technical side don’t worry, you will be able to do this too.
Simply position them at the top of your web page to ensure your surfers cannot miss them, and offer them a sign up option. Once they do this, through an auto responder option you will then be able to send them personal messages about these free reports.
Let us explain it more clearly.
When a surfer comes to your website, they will make one of two choices. They will either immediately click through to your merchant’s website and buy, or they will make a note to come back later.
Now by offering them free reports through a straight forward sign up box, you can use these auto response messages to remind them of your product at specifically timed moments and at the same time give them a reason to come back.
With the reports themselves, they cannot be over Selly. That is not their mission. What they need to contain is content on how your product will make their life easier, and what it can do for them in the long run. Essentially what they will be missing out on for not choosing your product.
With these reports reminding them time and time again of the quality of your product, when they next think of weight loss, they will think of you.
TIP THREE: Targeted traffic
Now you have probably heard this one before, but it is important that you only target people who will be interested in your product niche. For example, whilst placing a link on a property investment course for a weight loss supplement may attract some interest. This is all it will be – interest. Not all of them will also be looking to lose weight.
Instead, you need to keep it related and targeted specifically to your product. So if for example you have chosen to represent a weight loss product, keep all your links related to it.
Articles, e-zines and e-reports – all of them - keep them related, regularly updated and focused on your niche. By doing this, you will attract the right audience, and will get the leads you want – the ones that will be clicking through to your merchant.
